Are Herbal Weight Loss Pills and Other Weight Loss Pills or Drugs
Safe?
Obesity pills are generally safe when used
properly along with the appropriate medical supervision. Trouble usually starts because users do
not follow the manufacturer's instructions. The adverse health risks for these types of
pharmaceutical drugs include heart problems, blood pressure problems, and strokes, as well a range
of less serious problems. The risks apply to non-prescription
diet pills, where adverse health problems
include high blood pressure, heart palpitations, irregular heartbeats, dizziness, blurred vision,
headaches, insomnia, intestine blockages, anxiety, and depression. In extreme cases, both
prescription-only and non-prescription pills can cause life-threatening problems. Their safety
remains a relative concept, as cigarettes, alcohol, cars, stress, etc, kill millions of people
every year.
By comparison, diet pills and drugs cause
far fewer "casualties", and if you consult your doctor before taking them, you can reduce the
health risk to an absolute minimum.

The Real Problem With Weight Loss
Pills
The biggest problem with relying on drugs,
pills and supplements to lose weight is not the health risk as such, it is more the reliability
side. In my 20 plus years of dealing with overweight or obese individuals, and their families, I
have yet to hear of anyone who actually achieved and maintained a significant weight loss with the
use of pills. Going on from this point, I have met a huge number of people whose weight and
emotional state that have been significantly worsened through the use of such pills and drugs. They
have stated that they were afraid of food, that they had absolutely no confidence in their ability
to make good food choices, and tended to rely on purging, laxatives, and similar pills, drugs and
products, to control their eating habits. One client, who was a former annual weight loss winner
with one of the major dieting companies, had been deliberately fed with pills in order to achieve
the weight reduction that the organization wanted. When she came to me for help, she had regained
70 pounds of her weight loss back. In short, relying on pills and drugs for weight control can mess
up your body, and your mind.
