It is estimated that 40 million of these are
clinically obese ( with a BMI of 30 or more), and it is estimated that 9.6 million are extremely

The way things are going, most of the world
will need some form of weight loss diet !
In China alone the number of overweight
people has risen dramatically, from the low point of less than 10 percent, up to the now recent
data showing 15 percent, all in just three years.
In Colombia and Brazil, the figure of
overweight people is around 41 percent - comparable to several of the countries in
Europe.
Even Africa is seeing an upward trend in
obesity, with women living in the cities gaining the most weight.
All countries, all regions are suffering
obesity, which is worrying, and it seems to grow inline with a nation, as it's wealth
grows.
The higher the obesity, the higher the
number of weight related diseases reported, which include cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes,
cancers of the breast and colon, and metabolic disorders for example insulin resistance.
